StarGo Private Hire processes only the personal data we need to quote, book, and deliver chauffeur transfers across the UK. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights under UK GDPR.

Who we are

StarGo Private Hire (“we”, “us”) operates stargoprivatehire.com and provides private hire and chauffeur transfer services in the United Kingdom. For data protection purposes we are the data controller for information collected through this website and our booking channels.

What we collect

We collect information you provide when you register, request a quote, or complete a booking, and limited technical data when you use our website.

  • Identity & contact: name, email address, phone number, billing details
  • Journey details: pickup and drop-off addresses, dates, times, flight numbers, passenger count, special requests
  • Account: login credentials (password stored hashed), booking history, communication preferences
  • Payment: card payments processed by Stripe - we do not store full card numbers
  • Technical: IP address, browser type, session cookies, and analytics (only if you consent)

Why we use it

We process personal data to perform our contract with you (managing bookings and transfers), comply with legal obligations (including licensing and tax records), and pursue legitimate interests such as fraud prevention, customer support, and service improvement. Where required, we rely on your consent - for example, for non-essential analytics cookies.

We retain booking and account records for as long as needed to fulfil the journey, handle disputes, and meet UK legal retention requirements, typically up to seven years for financial records.

Who we share with

We share data only when necessary to deliver your transfer or operate our service:

  • Dispatch & drivers: journey details required to assign and complete your booking
  • Payment providers: Stripe for secure GBP card processing
  • IT & hosting: infrastructure providers that host our website and systems under contract
  • Authorities: where required by law or regulation

We do not sell your personal data. International transfers, if any, are protected by appropriate safeguards such as UK-approved contractual terms.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to certain processing. You may withdraw consent at any time where processing is consent-based. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Signed-in customers can export or delete account data from My Account. We will respond to other requests within one month.
